ABOUT EST
This non-profit organization has been intermitently active since its incorporation in 1980, and has taken on several different forms through the years. Starting in 1979 with the first production of SAME TIME NEXT YEAR at the Bardavon Opera House, the theater company (then called The Queen City Stage) produced over twenty-five professional productions. These included a series of Shakespeare plays with workshops for student and adult audiences. Other highlights were: MY FAIR LADY, DRIVING MISS DAISY, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, NUNSENSE, and THE MIRACLE WORKER.
Some of EST’s latest work include a staged reading of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, which was produced in Lagrangeville, NY and presented as a cabaret live theater production. This performance acted as a fundraiser for HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, and the initial reading featured Nancy Auffarth and Paul Frances, both member of AEA, in the lead roles. Other roles and technical positions were filled by experience local actors, and the project proved a great success.
